Merrick had two play dates last week. First, on my Friday off, we headed down to our wonderful friends, the Savages. We were going to attend music class, but due to illness at the center, we just headed over to the Savages for the morning. Jen was so sweet and got out her kitchen set so that Merrick and Nicholas could play. Merrick loved it and cooked lots of food for Jen, myself, and Nicholas, who by the way she was going to marry, she informed us. Matthew and Macy enjoyed sitting by each other and playing or gumming the toys themselves. I really enjoyed the outing myself as I just absolutely love Jen and love getting to talk with her about mommy stuff, school, and just life in general. Thanks again Savages and we look forward to Spring Break.
Merrick also had a birthday party to go to on Sunday afternoon. It was at a new place in Liberty called Fun Run. Merrick absolutely loved it. It has 4 bouncy things and then it has about 8 different dramatic play rooms for the kids to play in. Merrick was in seventh heaven in the dramatic play area-especially the house, pet shop, and BBQ restaurant. There was also a grocery store, spa, doctor's office, train room (which I don't think she ever went into) and a toddler area. We definitely will have to venture back to Fun Run again soon.
