It was Tom's 32nd birthday yesterday! I believe he had a great day. I woke up and made him cinnamon rolls. i was going to make omelets as well, but he informed me that he doesn't like my omelets. So he made all of us omelets and then we went shopping to return a gift he had gotten (boots-he wanted to wear them last night). After that, Cole and him went to a baseball clinic that Tom set up. It was given by a minor league pitching coach for the Baltimore Orioles (it is the PE teacher at my school's husband). They had a great time and Tom really feels like it reassured him that he is doing a great job at coaching his team. Then Tom ran and got the kids and my sister food, so we could go out. It actually was both Tom and my Christmas party last night. Since it was his birthday, i didn't want to make him go to my party. We were going to go to his with a group of people. But one of the guys wife got sick, then another backed out. So then we were going to just go out to eat somewhere with the others. Then one decided to go hunting and Saturday the other people got sick (do you think no one really wanted to go out together-I was in the same boat, but I didn't back out.) Since my sister was in town and I had convinced her to stay to babysit, Tom and I went out by ourselves. We went to Lonestar where Tom had a huge slab of bloody Prime Rib. he ate it all! He looked like he was in heaven. We then decided to go to a movie. Both of us were tired though and only one movie started at 9:00 (all the others were not until 10). Since it was just about 9 we decided to go to the movie Awake. I wouldn't recommend this movie. It was ok, but it just kind of ended quickly and drug a lot in the beginning. Defintely worth waiting until it is out on DVD.
Thanks to my wonderful sister, Ashley, who came down to Kansas City and babysat for us. She now lives in Omaha, so it isn't a long trip. She came to see a friend perform in a dance and then I just asked her to stay and babysit. Unfortunately for her, our basketball hoop fell down yesterday morning, right on her car. We feel terrible as it did leave a dent. what luck, she is doing us a favor and then boom! We are so sorry Ashley. Thanks for coming to visit-we will have to go up to Omaha sometime soon.
Hope you all have a great rest of the weekend. Fortunately for us, we did not get the terrible storm (just rain).
