Cole and Merrick enjoyed visiting their Uncle Pat and Aunt Ashley this weekend. Not only to see their Uncle and Aunt, but they were able to play in their basement with all Uncle Pat's cool instruments from his band. Both of them especially liked the pink drum set-needless to say, mommy wasn't feeling it so much as it was 10:00 at night and the banging just wasn't what I wanted to hear. The kids had fun and Uncle Pat and Aunt Ashley didn't seem to mind-they kept showing them more and more instruments. Think Pat will record the duo some day!!!
We stayed with my brother and sister-in-law on Friday night on our way to Minneapolis. It was great to see them. They were such great hosts as well. They made us a special treat of Vegan Ice Cream-Frozen Bananas and Strawberries blended together to make a sorbet type mixture. Then they added a crust of crushed nuts-mmmm-mmmm-mmmm! It was definitely yummy. It hit the spot and Baby G. #3 was in heaven-getting a little healthy dose of food after the gut rotting McDonalds supper on the way up!
Pat and Ashley also made up beds for the kids and us. It was so sweet and appreciated. Thanks guys for letting us crash at your house. We do appreciate it-come stay with us sometime soon.
