Things have been great since welcoming Macy into the Gacke family. She is such a great baby! Cole and Merrick are adjusting well to having her in our family. I couldn't be happier to have my three kids!
Macy is well into a great routine. She eats every approximately every 4 hours, then stays awake for an hour, then sleeps for about 3 hours. Although in the last day, she has been awake a little more. She is very content and doesn't really cry much. She doesn't prefer to be given a sponge bath-she still has her cord-but once that is over she is fine. She does continue to love to suck. When she was born her arm and both hands had skin completely off from her sucking in womb. Today I noticed again that her arm had another spot from sucking. She does love her binky so we try to encourage that over the fingers, hands, and arm (you can take a binky away, but not the others!). We are spoiling a little and I do find myself longing just to hold her, although she does spend most of the day sleeping in her bassinet. So far, things are going great.
